Early Childhood 2.5–6 Years Online + Hands-On English or Bahasa Indonesia

Why This Program

What Brings You Here?

Perhaps you're already a teacher and want to understand Montessori more deeply. Perhaps you run a school and want to build a truly Montessori environment. Maybe you discovered Montessori through your own child. Or perhaps you simply feel that working with young children is something you'd love to do.

Whatever brings you here, becoming a Montessori educator is about more than learning how to present materials. It's about learning to see the child differently, to understand their development, recognize when they're ready, and know when to guide and when to step back.

Instead of asking: "How do I teach this child?" you begin to ask: "What does this child need from me right now?"

That shift, from directing to observing, and from constantly instructing to thoughtfully preparing the environment, is at the heart of everything we teach.

MACTE accreditation mark

MACTE-Accredited Montessori Teacher Education

The Academy of Montessori holds accredited status for its Early Childhood Montessori teacher education certification course level from the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).

Our international Montessori diploma training in Jakarta prepares you to work with children aged 2.5–6 years through three important stages.

How It Works

One Journey. Three Important Stages.

Adult learner studying AOM course online1

Learn Online

130 Hours of Online Learning

Learn at your own pace through:

  • 300+ learning videos and Montessori demonstrations
  • Illustrated manuals
  • Assignments and projects
  • Live online classes
  • Guidance and feedback from your trainer

Plan approximately 5–7 hours per week for your online studies, with the flexibility to learn alongside work, teaching, or family life.

Practice With Real Montessori Materials

120 Hours of Hands-On Learning in Jakarta

Montessori cannot be learned from videos alone. You need time to touch the materials, practice the presentations, ask questions, and build confidence.

During your in-residence training in Jakarta, you'll work directly with Montessori materials alongside your trainers in a prepared environment.

Living outside Jakarta? Your practicum may be completed in an approved Montessori environment in your own city or country.

Work With Children

400 Hours of Teaching Practicum

Your practicum brings everything together. You will complete it in an approved Montessori Early Childhood environment, where you can observe children, apply what you have learned, and develop your skills as a Montessori educator.

Throughout this stage, you will continue receiving guidance, observation, and feedback.

You Won't Be Learning Alone

Online learning should never mean being left to figure everything out yourself. Throughout your learning journey, you will have:

  • A Montessori trainer supporting your learning
  • Live Zoom sessions
  • Feedback on assignments
  • An active learning community
  • WhatsApp support
  • Guidance during hands-on training
  • Practicum support
  • Field consultant observations and feedback
  • Learning manuals and resources

When you have questions, you have someone to ask.
